[Source] The dried roots of the Amaranthaceae plant Achyranthes bidentata.

[Note] 1. Keratinous texture: Achyranthes has a slightly keratinous and oily texture.

2. Two to four vascular bundles: The central vascular bundle has a large xylem, which is yellowish-white; scattered around its periphery are numerous yellowish-white punctate vascular bundles arranged discontinuously in 2 to 4 rings.

【Functions】Bitter and sour in taste, neutral in nature. Tonifies the liver and kidneys, strengthens the tendons and bones, expels blood stasis and unblocks the meridians, and directs the blood downward.
