Job Details
1. Responsible for formulating and dispensing traditional Chinese medicine decoction pieces, processing them, and properly storing herbal medicines.
2. Remain at your post and prepare decoctions in accordance with the prescribed operating procedures to ensure quality.
3. Strictly implement the prescription verification system: upon receipt of a prescription, meticulously verify the prescription details, including the patient’s name, age, drug name, dosage, administration method, and contraindications, to ensure accurate dispensing and prevent errors and accidents.
4. In the event of errors such as inappropriate dosage or administration, contraindicated prescriptions, or other discrepancies, the pharmacist is responsible for contacting the physician to make the necessary corrections before proceeding with dispensing.
5. Pay close attention to the dosage and administration of traditional Chinese medicinal formulas, and patiently explain the method of taking the medication and any precautions to the patient when dispensing the herbs.
6. Inspect processing equipment, keep tools and containers clean and tidy, ensure equipment is clean and safe, and improve equipment utilization.
7. Upon receipt of pharmaceuticals, carefully inspect and verify the specifications, quantities, and expiration dates to ensure product quality; report any issues to the supervisor promptly.
8. Responsible for maintaining cleanliness in the Chinese medicinal herb dispensary and processing room; ensuring that all Chinese medicinal herbs are free from expiration, insect infestation, rodent damage, and mold; and conducting quarterly inventory checks of Chinese medicinal herbs in accordance with regulations.
9. Before placing the prepared traditional Chinese medicine into the decoction pot, verify the patient’s name, prescription number, and date to ensure accuracy; only proceed with decoction if all information is correct. Upon delivering the bagged, decocted herbal medicine to the patient, reconfirm the patient’s name, prescription number, and date.
10. Observe safety precautions during the processing of traditional Chinese medicines, and verify that water and electricity have been turned off at the end of the shift.
11. Strictly comply with all rules and regulations to rigorously prevent errors.
12. Perform other tasks assigned by superior management.
13. Responsible for coordinating with the Traditional Chinese Medicine Pharmacy’s quarterly inventory count.
14. Hold a certificate of qualification for practicing as a traditional Chinese medicine dispenser.
